Built from the ashes of a destroyed GGR 87 001 (Rouse kit car), GGR 88 001 was an improvement in every area, after Goode had a seasons experience with the 3 door racing Fords. Graeme Goode, under the banner "Listerine Texaco Racing" raced 88 001 in the 1988 BTCC, with a best result of 5th against an onslaught of excellent drivers in state of the art RS500's. In 1989 the car was campaigned by Sean Walker in its current FAI livery. Sean managed a credible 5th in the over 3L BTCC standings, helped along by Damon Hill to his best result of 4th at the Donnington Park 1 Hr. enduro on May the 7th. Sean campaigned the car until the BTCC got it all WRONG with 2L cars. It was then sold to Collins Motorsport, who in turn sold it to RS500 expert Martin Johnson, who returned it back to Pink Dragon guise. GGR 88 001 was subsequently sold to an Australian who wanted to campaign an Ex BTCC car in the burgeoning Historic Group A scene in Australia.
Since its time in Aust, it has had everything rebuilt, or refreshed. It comes with a good spares package, fresh, but proven running gear and all the necessary CAMS (Aust' FIA) Papers. Exact specs, dyno sheets and spares inventory is available to genuine buyers.
